מעבר הסחורות "כרם שלום", הממוקם על גבול רצועת עזה, ייסגר למשך יומיים, ביום ראשון וביום שני הקרובים, לרגל חג יום הכיפורים. ההודעה על הסגירה פורסמה על ידי הרשויות בישראל.

על פי הודעת משרד התיאום והקישור של משרד הביטחון, המופקד על התיאום עם הפלסטינים, המעבר יפעל כסדרו בימים שלאחר מכן. המשרד הדגיש כי "למעט ימים אלו, המעבר ממשיך לפעול בהיקף מלא על מנת לענות על הצרכים שהוגדרו על ידי הקהילה הבינלאומית". עוד צוין כי "מאות משאיות סיוע הומניטרי נכנסות לרצועה מדי יום".
