מספר אדמו"רים מבני ברק השתתפו בטקס תפילת תשליך, כמנהג ישראל לזרוק את העבירות לים או למקור מים אחר. האדמו"רים השונים בחרו לקיים את התפילה במקומות מגוונים, חלקם בבריכות ביתיות וחלקם בפינות חי ייעודיות, תוך הקפדה על קיום המצווה.

האירוע התקיים כחלק מהמסורת היהודית של תפילת ראש השנה, בה מבקשים סליחה על חטאים ומשליכים אותם כסמל לניקוי רוחני. בחירת המיקומים השונים משקפת את ההתאמות הפרטניות של כל קהילה או אדמו"ר למסורת זו, תוך שמירה על קדושת המעמד.
