מפלגת "עמנו ישראל" בראשות עופר ونتس הגיבה בחריפות לדברי ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו, שאמר כי "אסור להצביע למפלגה שלא תעבור את אחוז החסימה או שתעביר קולות לאביגדור ליברמן". ונטס דחה את טענות נתניהו בטענה שהחלק הראשון של הדברים אינו נכון, והחלק השני "לעולם לא יקרה". התגובה באה על רקע חשש בליכוד ממפלגות קטנות שלא יעברו את אחוז החסימה, מה שעלול להביא לאובדן קולות לגוש הימין.

במפלגת "עמנו ישראל" הדגישו כי הם מתכוונים לעבור את אחוז החסימה, וכי לא יחברו למפלגתו של אביגדור ליברמן, "ישראל ביתנו".
