Likud MK Warns Against "Am Echad Yisrael" Party Splitting Right-Wing Vote

A senior Likud lawmaker has voiced strong opposition to the new "Am Echad Yisrael" party, led by retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, warning that it risks wasting votes and jeopardizing the right-wing bloc's chances in the upcoming elections. MK Avihai Boaron stated in a radio interview on Sunday that his party's campaign against Winter is not personal but a matter of national importance, aiming to prevent "votes going to waste."

Boaron cited internal Likud polling data that he claims consistently shows Winter's party failing to cross the electoral threshold required to enter the Knesset. "In the polls we see, Winter does not pass the blocking percentage. In Likud's internal polls, Winter does not pass the blocking percentage," Boaron asserted, adding that voting for Winter "endangers the continuation of right-wing rule."

Despite concerns about potential vote splitting, Boaron expressed confidence in his own party's standing, predicting that Likud will maintain its strength. "Likud will not drop below 30 mandates," he declared, highlighting his party's perceived stability in the current political landscape.
