Hundreds of Religious Schoolgirls Visit Lod for Selichot Service

Approximately 300 female students from the Amanah Ulpana (religious high school) in Kfar Saba, spanning grades 9 through 12, traveled to the city of Lod for a special Selichot (penitential prayers) evening. The students embarked on a tour of Lod's ancient sites and the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood, learning about the city's history from the period of the Tannaim to the present day.

During their visit, the students engaged in conversations with Lod residents, who shared insights into life and living in the city. The educational and cultural experience aimed to connect the students with Lod's unique narrative.

The evening culminated in a communal Selichot service, where the students recited prayers together and participated in a joint singing session featuring emotional songs, including "Ochila La'El." Both students and staff reported that the visit and interactions helped them feel more connected to Lod's distinctive story.
