בן חסין, יהודי ממוצא כורדי ואזרח ישראלי, שוחרר מבית כלא בכורדיסטן לאחר 11 שנות מאסר. הוא נכלא בשנת 2015 בעקבות מעורבותו במותו של גבר מקומי במהלך סכסוך. במשך השנים עמד בפני גזר דין מוות, אך עונש זה הוסר לאחר שהושגה סולחה עם משפחת ההרוג ובוצע תשלום פיצויים משמעותי.

עם שחרורו, חסין בירך "שהחיינו" והודה לגורמים שסייעו במגעים לשחרורו. הוא צפוי לשוב לישראל בימים הקרובים.
