Border Police Find Kalashnikov Rifle, Ammo Cache in Northern Israel
Border Police officers discovered a cache of weapons hidden among bushes in the town of Yarka, located in northern Israel, during an overnight operation. The discovery included a Kalashnikov rifle, two fully loaded magazines, loose 7.62mm ammunition, and additional weapon parts. The officers were operating as part of a task force in the Asher region, within the Coastal District, aiming to combat crime and illegal weaponry in the western Galilee. The operation was conducted in cooperation with district police officers.
The seized weapons and ammunition were transferred to the Western Galilee police station for further investigation. The Border Police's Coastal District command stated that the operation was part of an ongoing effort to combat illegal arms trafficking and criminal activity in the region.
