Jewish Extremists Set Fire to Mosque in Samaria, Vandalize with Threats

Jewish extremists set fire to a mosque in the Palestinian village of Bazaria in Samaria early Tuesday morning. Prior to the arson, the perpetrators spray-painted hate graffiti on the mosque's walls, targeting U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Hammer and Kan 11 reporter Roi Sharon.

The graffiti included messages such as "Evacuations = Chaos, you have been warned," "Roi Sharon, watch your car," and "Hammer, greetings from the terrorists." The attackers fled the scene before security forces arrived.

The Israeli Police have launched an investigation, with forces from the Ariel station and the Judea and Samaria District Police present at the scene to collect evidence. The Kan 11 public broadcaster condemned the threats against its reporter, stating that attempts to intimidate journalists will not succeed and that their reporting on disturbances in Judea and Samaria will continue. They urged law enforcement to swiftly apprehend those responsible.

Ambassador Hammer had previously condemned Israeli settlers who blockaded a Palestinian family's home in the village of Qusra, labeling the Jewish perpetrators as terrorists. He described their actions as criminal and horrific, intended to intimidate and harass the family, and stated there was no excuse for such thuggish behavior.
