Settlers Vandalize Mosque Near Nablus, Threaten US Ambassador

Jewish settlers set fire to a mosque in the village of Bizzaria, near Nablus, on Tuesday morning. Before the arson, they spray-painted offensive messages on the mosque's walls, targeting U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reporter Roi Sharon. The graffiti included threats such as "Evacuation = Chaos, you have been warned," "Roi Sharon, watch your car," and "Huckabee, greetings from terrorists." The perpetrators fled the scene before security forces arrived. Police have launched an investigation.

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation condemned the threats against Sharon, stating that attempts to intimidate journalists will not succeed and will not deter their reporting. They urged law enforcement authorities to act swiftly and decisively to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Ambassador Huckabee had previously denounced the actions of settlers who blockaded a Palestinian family's home in the village of Qusra, referring to the rioting Jewish settlers as terrorists. He described their actions as criminal and appalling, aimed at intimidating and harassing the family, and stated there was no justification for such thuggish behavior.
