US Ambassador Condemns Vandalism at Mosque Near Nablus

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Hammer has responded to the racist graffiti spray-painted on a mosque that was set on fire near Nablus. Hammer stated on social media that it is "truly sad that someone would take pride in being a terrorist." He added that a small group causing damage to the reputation of the vast majority of Israelis, who live according to both civil law and Jewish law, does not represent the Jewish people or the rest of Israel.

The incident involved a mosque near the Palestinian village of Huwara, south of Nablus, which was vandalized and set ablaze. The graffiti included anti-American and anti-Israel slogans, as well as the ambassador's name. The attack is believed to have been carried out by Israeli settlers in retaliation for a recent IDF operation in the area.
