  • National Health Services ranked first in patient satisfaction.
  • The ranking is based on thousands of member reviews.
  • National leads in shortest waiting times for child development services.
  • The health fund is improving mental health services with digital triage.
  • The achievement reflects public trust amid healthcare system challenges.

National Health Services has achieved the top position in the latest health fund satisfaction rankings compiled by Midrag, an Israeli consumer review website. The ranking, based on over 7,252 reviews from members of all four national health funds, highlights patient satisfaction across 16 different parameters including service, availability, and quality of care.

This achievement comes amidst significant challenges facing Israel's healthcare system, including increased demand for mental health services following the ongoing conflict. While overall satisfaction with health funds has reportedly increased since the previous 2019 ranking, other funds have seen a sharp decline in the availability of specialist appointments. National Health Services is actively working to address these challenges, particularly in mental health, by developing a digital triage system to better match patients with appropriate care based on urgency and need. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving National's innovation unit, mental health team, customer relations, and information systems, utilizing a platform from Diagnostic Robotics.

National Health Services attributes its leading position to continuous investment in service improvement, community clinics, digital services, patient experience, and strengthening the personal connection between medical staff and members. The organization emphasizes that this ranking is a testament to public trust and a recognition of the quality of service, personal attention, and care provided.

Further supporting its top ranking, recent data from the Ministry of Health shows National consistently leading in the shortest waiting times for child development services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, speech therapy, and developmental psychology. For instance, waiting times for speech therapy at National averaged 2.4 months, significantly shorter than other funds. Similarly, National reported the shortest wait times for occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

Chaim Fernandez, CEO of National Health Services, stated that the results reflect significant customer trust and acknowledge the public's expectation for good, professional, accessible, and humane service, especially during challenging times. He affirmed that this success compels the organization to continue improving and listening to the public. Noam Ohana, CEO of Midrag, commented that the ranking process, driven by thousands of members voluntarily contributing their feedback, ultimately leads to service improvement in Israel.
