Ebola Scare at Ichilov Hospital Ends as First Test Returns Negative

A man in his 20s who presented with suspected Ebola symptoms at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Medical Center has tested negative for the virus in his initial examination. The patient, who recently returned from abroad, sought medical attention after developing concerning symptoms. Hospital staff immediately isolated him in a dedicated facility according to Health Ministry guidelines.

A medical sample was taken and sent for urgent testing. While the first test result has come back negative, ruling out initial concerns, the patient will remain in isolation for approximately two more days. This is in accordance with Health Ministry protocols, which require a second test to definitively confirm his condition.

Health authorities emphasized that all measures taken were to ensure public safety and protect medical staff, adhering to international protocols. The patient is expected to undergo a second test before being cleared.
