Israel Rules Out Ebola Case in Traveler Returning From Congo
Israel's Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that a young Israeli man hospitalized with suspected Ebola has tested negative for the virus in a second test, definitively ruling out the disease. The man, in his 20s, returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo two days prior and was admitted to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital. His initial test yesterday also came back negative. "As of now, no confirmed case of Ebola has been diagnosed in Israel," the ministry stated. The patient's negative results bring an end to concerns about a potential Ebola outbreak in the country.
