Man Arrested for Sexual Assaults While Under House Arrest

Central District Prosecutors have filed charges against Eliyahu Ganah, a 22-year-old resident of Netanya, for a series of indecent acts against women in the city, some of which occurred while he was under house arrest. According to the indictment, Ganah exposed himself and performed sexual acts on women in residential buildings in Netanya.

Following his arrest and subsequent release to house arrest, Ganah violated the terms of his confinement. He rode his motorcycle through the city streets, mounting sidewalks to grope female pedestrians. This pattern of behavior repeated itself, with Ganah approaching women on the street while riding his motorcycle and touching their buttocks, legs, or chests.

The indictment details that on a single day, Ganah committed similar acts against 10 different complainants in 10 separate incidents, all while violating his house arrest. The charges include numerous counts of indecent acts, attempted indecent acts, and violating a legal order (breach of house arrest).

Prosecutors have requested that Ganah be held in custody until the legal proceedings conclude. They cited the high frequency of his alleged offenses within a short period as evidence of his dangerousness and a recurring pattern of behavior. The prosecution also emphasized that the commission of some acts while under house arrest demonstrates a disregard for the law and suggests that alternative measures to detention would not mitigate his risk to the public.
