Israeli Police Find Loaded Gun Hidden in Sock During Bnei Brak Raid

Israeli police arrested two residents of Bnei Brak, aged 56 and 69, during a targeted operation in the Pardes Katz neighborhood aimed at cracking down on illegal weapons possession. The raid, conducted by officers from the Bnei Brak station and the Dan district, alongside special forces and the Tel Aviv district's animal unit, uncovered a loaded handgun concealed inside a sock in a living room closet. The search was carried out under judicial warrants across multiple apartments in the area.

In addition to the firearm, police seized 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 11 security cameras, and three DVR devices. The suspects were taken for questioning at the local police station and later brought before the court, which extended their detention until August 30, 2026. Authorities emphasized that this operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal arms possession and prevent the use of weapons in criminal activities.
