Israeli Border Police Arrest Two Suspects with Loaded Gun Near Maayan Zvi

On July 1, 2026, Israeli Border Police fighters from the Coastal District thwarted a serious criminal incident by arresting two suspects near the fish ponds at Kibbutz Maayan Zvi in northern Israel. The suspects, residents of Yokneam and Ashkelon, were stopped for a routine check but fled in a vehicle, prompting a high-speed chase that ended when their car got stuck in a dead-end area. During the arrest and search, officers discovered a loaded Glock pistol with a bullet in the chamber on one suspect, along with three fully loaded magazines and gloves.
