Netanyahu Consoles Family of Fallen Soldier Yehuda Katz After Remains Returned to Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the family of Lieutenant Colonel Yehuda Yekutiel Katz, the last missing soldier from the Battle of Sultan Yacoub, whose remains were recently returned to Israel in a special operation by the IDF and Mossad. During the condolence visit on Wednesday, Netanyahu expressed deep emotion over Katz's return to his homeland and sorrow that Katz's parents, Sarah and Yosef, did not live to see their son come home. Katz's family described him as a learned scholar, a man of strong values, and a dedicated professional soldier. The Prime Minister's office noted that Katz's return fulfilled a principle he often cited: "A good question is better than a weak excuse." Katz had been missing since the 1982 Lebanon War battle, and his remains were repatriated more than 40 years later, completing the return of all missing soldiers from that battle.
