Sevilla Considers Israeli Forward Tzahi Abed Amid Transfer Window Closing

Spanish club Sevilla is reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old Israeli national team player Tzahi Abed as they seek to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes. According to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla is preparing for the likely departure of Swiss winger Ruben Vargas, who is close to moving to Olympiacos, and Abed has been proposed to the club through his agency. The Andalusian team is open to the possibility of acquiring Abed, partly due to the relatively low cost of the deal.

This development is surprising given Abed's current status at Levante, where he played only seven games last season, totaling 87 minutes, and was left out of the squad for Levante's first two matches this season. Despite his limited playing time, Abed may now have a chance to make a significant step up in his career.

Sevilla is also reportedly interested in 23-year-old Gabry Martins from Braga, who wants to leave after failing to secure a key role at the Portuguese club. However, Martins' contract until 2029 could make his transfer more expensive, potentially favoring Abed's candidacy for the move.
