Noam Kleinstein Releases New Single Exploring Dark Side of Intense Love

Israeli singer-songwriter Noam Kleinstein appeared on the Kan News program "At Midday" on Monday to discuss her new single "Mehafent" (Hypnotic). Kleinstein co-wrote and composed the song with producer Guy Kofman, who lives in Los Angeles. The lyrics depict an intense infatuation that turns into a "horror movie" scenario, where the object of affection seems to appear everywhere and in everyone on the street.

Musically, "Mehafent" blends an aggressive pop sound that pays homage to the 2010s and 1980s styles. The accompanying music video continues the horror theme, featuring dancers and visual elements inspired by horror films. Despite describing herself as "fearful" of the horror genre, Kleinstein chose this visual approach to reflect the "creepy" nature of the song's narrative.

Kleinstein also spoke about her third album, "The Sure Way to Break My Own Heart," released about two months ago. She announced a live performance on October 19 at the Barby Club, where she will debut songs from the new album alongside the new single. Kleinstein is nominated in the annual Hebrew music chart by Kan Gimel and ForReal in the categories of "Artists of the Year," "Song of the Year" for "Ivor" (Blind), and "Album of the Year" for her latest album.

Reflecting on the song "Ivor," Kleinstein said it fulfilled her biggest dreams and brought her to places she never expected. She expressed gratitude to the song for its impact on her career. Kleinstein emphasized that while she previously portrayed characters in her music, this new album represents her authentic self living out her wildest dreams.
