IDF and Shin Bet Destroy Hamas Weapons Depots Hidden in Gaza Mosques and Civilian Sites

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet conducted precise strikes yesterday targeting five weapons depots and a launch site belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization across the Gaza Strip. According to a joint statement from the IDF and Shin Bet spokespersons, the depots contained rockets, firearms, explosives, grenades, and other combat equipment used by Hamas militants to carry out terrorist operations against Israeli forces in Gaza.

The strikes are part of ongoing security efforts to neutralize terror threats emanating from Gaza. The IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and will continue to act to eliminate any immediate threats, the IDF spokesperson said.

Notably, the weapons depots were concealed inside mosques and adjacent to humanitarian infrastructure, exemplifying Hamas's cynical exploitation of civilian sites and violation of international law by endangering the local population. In recent days, the IDF and Shin Bet also targeted two additional weapons depots in the Shati and Deir al-Balah areas of northern Gaza, where dozens of Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, and other military gear were stored inside mosques.

Prior to the strikes, advance warnings were issued to the civilian population to minimize harm, alongside the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance to ensure accuracy and reduce collateral damage.
