IDF and Shin Bet Destroy Five Hamas Weapons Depots Hidden in Gaza Mosques
On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet security service conducted coordinated strikes across the Gaza Strip, targeting and destroying five weapons depots and a Hamas launch site. These depots were concealed within mosques and adjacent to humanitarian infrastructure. According to a joint statement from the IDF and Shin Bet spokespersons, the stockpiles contained rockets, firearms, explosives, grenades, and other combat equipment used by Hamas militants to plan and execute terrorist attacks against Israeli forces in Gaza.
The military emphasized that Hamas's use of civilian sites, including religious and humanitarian facilities, violates international law and exploits the local population. The IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with existing agreements and will continue operations to neutralize immediate threats. Both the IDF and Shin Bet reaffirmed their commitment to countering terrorism targeting Israeli civilians and ensuring their security.
