Israeli Ministers Condemn MK Tzvi Sukkot Over West Bank Monument Vandalism

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar sharply criticized the destruction of a monument to terrorists in the West Bank village of Madama near Nablus. Sa'ar stated that MK Tzvi Sukkot is not the sovereign authority in Judea and Samaria and emphasized that decisions and actions should be carried out by the state, the IDF, and security forces. Sa'ar accused Sukkot of deliberately undermining this principle.

Naftali Bennett, leader of the 'Together' party, accused Sukkot and Bezalel Smotrich of endangering IDF soldiers by abandoning them and now harming their missions for political campaign videos. Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz also condemned Sukkot, saying he risked soldiers' and civilians' lives for political gain and social media likes.

Democratic Party MK Gilad Kariv referenced a recent warning from the Central Command chief about the fragile security situation in the West Bank, noting that Sukkot's actions recklessly escalate tensions. The incident has sparked a political backlash highlighting concerns over unauthorized actions in sensitive areas and the potential consequences for security and stability.
