Gadi Eizenkot Condemns Tzvi Sukkot's Vandalism, Criticizes Netanyahu's Inaction

Gadi Eizenkot, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, sharply criticized Knesset member Tzvi Sukkot following footage showing Sukkot vandalizing a monument in a Palestinian village. Eizenkot described Sukkot's actions as a disgrace to anyone claiming to represent the public or be a leader. He accused Sukkot of lying to the Israel Defense Forces and its commanders, damaging security, and tarnishing Israel's reputation internationally. Eizenkot further condemned Sukkot as a violent provocateur who falsely claims to represent the Religious Zionist sector, thereby harming the entire community.

Eizenkot also directed criticism at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of allowing anarchists like Sukkot and his associates to act with impunity. He warned that this permissiveness undermines Israel's standing in the world. The remarks came amid ongoing tensions over extremist actions by some members of the Religious Zionist camp and their impact on Israeli security and diplomacy.
