Israeli drivers are increasingly turning to digital wallets and fuel apps to combat rising living costs, but the benefits come with fine print, strict expiration terms, and unexpected fueling restrictions. A recent comparison examined five leading fuel apps in Israel: Yellow (Paz), Jo Fuel Club (Delek Israel), Sonol Energy, Dor Alon, and TenApp (TEN), to determine which offers the best value.

Yellow (Paz) offers 10 agorot per liter and 10% cashback on food and drinks at Yellow stores, but earnings cap at 30 shekels per quarter and require a minimum 50-shekel quarterly accumulation to avoid forfeiture. Yellow’s wallet funds remain valid for two years and can be redeemed at Yellow stations, Super-Pharm, Super Yuda, and via Wolt. Jo Fuel Club (Delek Israel) awards digital "coins" with similar 10 agorot per liter and 10% cashback on fuel, electric charging, Burger King, and Cafe Jo online purchases, but coins cannot be used for fuel or tobacco products. Coins expire after four months if the 50-coin threshold is not met, with funds valid for two years once the wallet opens.

Sonol Energy uses a points system called "goods," earned only through app payments, redeemable for coupons and discounts without a minimum redemption threshold. Dor Alon’s app focuses on coupons and discounts for its convenience stores rather than direct fuel savings, but users can combine it with external payment methods like the You credit card or Cello fuel tag for fuel discounts. TenApp (TEN) offers two tracks: cashback of 10 agorot per liter and 10% on convenience store purchases, or direct monthly invoice discounts. It has the lowest redemption threshold of 10 shekels but strict expiration: unused funds expire annually on January 1.

The analysis suggests TenApp suits occasional drivers due to its low minimum redemption, Yellow is best for those valuing flexible spending beyond fuel, Dor Alon fits families managing multiple vehicles, Jo Fuel Club benefits frequent fast-food and coffee buyers, and Sonol appeals to users preferring point-based rewards and larger signup bonuses. Drivers are advised to carefully review terms to maximize benefits and avoid losing accumulated rewards.
