Southampton and West Ham will meet on Tuesday at 21:45 in the FA Cup Round of 64, featuring Israeli players Daniel Peretz and Manor Solomon for the first time on English soil. Both players have quickly become fan favorites at their respective clubs. Peretz, a goalkeeper signed by Southampton from Bayern Munich for 8 million euros with a contract until 2030, impressed fans last season during his loan and has now been confirmed as the club's first-choice keeper. This decision led to Aaron Ramsdale, his competitor, being relegated to the reserves, a move praised by Daily Echo journalist Alfie House as the best made by Southampton's sporting director Johannes Spors.
Meanwhile, Manor Solomon joined West Ham in a deal worth 5 million pounds plus 2 million in bonuses and made an immediate impact by scoring in his league debut in a 2-2 draw against Burnley. Despite West Ham's 2-1 loss to Charlton in his second game, local media praised Solomon as a "bullseye" signing alongside Joel Piroe and Joel Peltier, highlighting their potential to lead the team out of early-season struggles. Both Israeli players are central to their teams' strategies and have generated excitement among supporters ahead of their FA Cup showdown.
