Israeli Paratroopers Complete Gaza Tunnel Destruction, Shift to West Bank Operations
The Israeli Paratroopers Brigade has concluded a three-month mission in the Gaza Strip under the command of the Gaza Division (143) and the 99th Division. Their operation focused on defending and clearing the Yellow Line area from terrorist infrastructure. During this period, in cooperation with the Yahalom unit, the forces destroyed and sealed underground tunnel routes totaling 13 kilometers, including the tunnel where Lieutenant Hadar Goldin was held captive.
The troops also dismantled various terrorist infrastructures and discovered numerous weapons used by Hamas, such as RPG rockets, mortar shells, grenades, launchers, and ammunition. In addition to these efforts, the brigade established new routes and positions to enhance defense capabilities in the area.
The IDF stated that Southern Command forces remain deployed according to the ceasefire arrangement and will continue operations to eliminate any immediate threats. Following their Gaza mission, the Paratroopers Brigade is now transitioning to active duty in the West Bank region (Judea and Samaria).
