Israeli Paratroopers Destroy 13 Kilometers of Hamas Terror Tunnels in Gaza

The Israeli Paratroopers Brigade has completed a three-month operational mission in the Gaza Strip focused on defending and clearing terror infrastructure along the so-called "Yellow Line." Commanded by the Gaza Division (143) and Division 99, the brigade has now transitioned to routine operations in the West Bank.

During the operation, the troops, alongside the Engineering and Demolition Unit (Yahalom), uncovered and destroyed approximately 13 kilometers of underground tunnels used by Hamas. Among the neutralized tunnels was a section where Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, z"l, had been held captive.

In addition to demolishing the tunnels, the forces destroyed numerous terror infrastructures and seized a wide array of weapons intended for attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. Confiscated arms included RPG rockets, mortar shells, grenades, launchers, and large quantities of ammunition.

The operation significantly disrupted Hamas's capabilities to carry out terror attacks and secure underground movement within Gaza. The Paratroopers Brigade's efforts were documented by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, highlighting the extensive destruction of terror assets.

The brigade's redeployment to the West Bank marks a shift in focus as they continue to combat terror threats in other regions.
