Senior Israeli Prison Service Officer Claims Retaliation After Reporting Procurement Irregularities
A senior officer in the elite Israeli Prison Service unit Metzada has appealed to the State Comptroller to be recognized as a whistleblower. The officer alleges that after raising concerns about alleged flaws in the procurement process related to training fighters, he was targeted by his superiors and subsequently reassigned. Serving in the unit for 17 years and responsible for developing combat equipment, the officer, through his legal representative, claims he exposed serious misconduct connected to a tender reviewed by the procurement committee concerning a course for unit fighters.
