Meylech Braunstein Releases Emotional Shabbat Single Honoring Yosef Yosha Friedman

Singer Meylech Braunstein has released a heartfelt single titled 'Menucha VeSimcha' in memory of Yosef Yosha ben Eliezer Friedman, marking the first yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of the young man. The project celebrates Friedman's special love for Shabbat songs, combining his unique approach of setting familiar Shabbat melodies to accessible tunes with a professional musical production aimed at enriching Shabbat table singing.

Yosef Yosha Friedman was known for his passion for Shabbat zemirot, often adapting beloved words with melodies that made them more approachable and enjoyable for families. The single features a joint performance by Meylech Braunstein and Eliezer Friedman, preserving the original spirit that Yosef Yosha envisioned. The original composition by Naftali Kampa was specially arranged by Moshe Yaakov, who also handled the musical production, while the mixing was done by Shloimy Wachter. The music video was filmed by Ari Levy, and the cover design was created by VigiGee, resulting in a polished and emotionally resonant project.
