Alongside the return announcement, the Netherlands has reportedly already selected its representative for Eurovision 2027: singer Davina Michelle. Michelle, aged 30, is a well-known Dutch artist who previously performed during the 2021 Eurovision semi-final interval in Rotterdam with the song "The Power of Water." Her name has long been associated with potential Eurovision representation for the Netherlands.

This development signals a major shift in the Dutch broadcaster's approach, moving away from the boycott that lasted only one year.
