Retired Supreme Court Justice Joins Petition Against Second State Comptroller Vote
Retired Supreme Court Justice Yosef Elron has joined the petition challenging the legality of the second vote for State Comptroller, in which Likud members were asked to photograph themselves with their ballot for attorney Michael Ravilo.
Elron asked the High Court of Justice, known as the Bagatz, to issue an interim order freezing Ravilo’s entry into the post. The petition argues that the voting process was unlawful.
The filing concerns the vote held by Likud members and centers on the procedure used to select the candidate for State Comptroller. No ruling has been reported yet.
