Top Earners Lead Israeli Premier League Teams Ahead of 2026/27 Season
As the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season approaches, a list of the highest-paid players in each club has been released. Typically, the top earner in each team is also the key player expected to lead and carry the squad forward, whether due to talent or leadership qualities. These players usually command the largest share of their club's budget.
Many of the top earners joined their teams during the recent summer transfer window, with a significant number being foreign players. The reported salaries are net amounts, meaning Israeli players' gross costs might be higher, but foreign players receive larger net paychecks.
Mohamed Ali Kamara of Maccabi Tel Aviv tops the list as the highest-paid player in the entire league. Other notable high earners include Beitar Jerusalem stars Yarden Shua and Omer Atzili, as well as Satu Toriel, who recently signed a new contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv. At the bottom of the list is veteran Eitan Tibi of Maccabi Petah Tikva, who begins another season aiming to be a key figure in his club's fight to remain in the top division and possibly achieve more.
