Israeli Soldiers Throw Women’s and Girls’ Clothes from Window in West Bank Settlement Area

A rare video surfaced on social media on August 12, 2026, showing Israeli soldiers in the West Bank village of Kusra throwing clothes belonging to three women and two girls out of a window of a house under military control. The house, located in a recently seized area, has been occupied by IDF troops amid heightened tensions following the establishment of a nearby outpost. According to the human rights group Yesh Din, the affected families have been barred from entering their homes for nearly two weeks due to severe restrictions imposed by the military.

Yesh Din reported that the families requested permission from the army to deliver clothes to the women and girls who could not access their homes. Shortly after the organization raised the issue with the legal advisor for the West Bank, soldiers reportedly threw the clothing out of the window. The footage, filmed by Louie Abu Ridi, shows the garments flying from the building.

The incident occurs amid ongoing clashes between settlers and the IDF in Kusra. Last week, the military declared the area a closed military zone and stationed troops in Palestinian homes as temporary posts, claiming the measures were to protect residents. However, Yesh Din condemned the army’s actions, stating, "Instead of helping and protecting, the army is abusing the families." The organization emphasized that the families are not suspected of any offenses and that the restrictions prevent them from freely leaving their homes or receiving supplies and visitors.

The tensions escalated after three Palestinian family homes were cut off from the village on August 10 due to the establishment of an outpost nearby. The head of Kusra’s council reported that access to these homes was blocked and that electricity and food supplies were cut off. The military’s declaration of the area as a closed zone has further restricted movement and access for the Palestinian residents.
