Car Importer Carasso Motors Reports Sales and Profit Growth in First Half of 2026

Carasso Motors, a leading car importer, reported significant growth in vehicle sales and profits during the first half of 2026. The company sold 32,567 cars in this period, marking a 36.2% increase compared to the previous year. In the second quarter alone, sales reached 14,571 vehicles, a 5.3% rise from the same quarter last year. The company’s market share for new car deliveries climbed to 16.8% in the second quarter, up from 14.6% in the corresponding period of 2025.

This growth is attributed to increased activity across the group’s main operations and the first-time consolidation of Metro Motor, whose full operational expenses were included following its merger in 2025. Despite the ongoing conflict with Iran impacting the automotive sector, Carasso Motors’ total revenues for the second quarter remained stable at approximately 2.1 billion shekels, supported by growth in other sectors. The leasing division saw a 12.5% revenue increase in the first half, reaching about 959.4 million shekels.

The company also benefited from strategic investments in growth engines, including opening new showrooms, launching the Chery brand in Europe, and expanding mortgage-related activities. One-time events, including a 32.2 million shekel charge related to investment impairments and financial penalties, were noted. Carasso Motors’ equity stands at 2.3 billion shekels. In August, the company approved a dividend distribution of 180 million shekels. Additionally, in July, the Ministry of Transport renewed Carasso’s license to import Chery vehicles until June 2030.
