Jonathan Teper Reaches Settlement in Israeli Sports Doping Case, Suspended Until October
Jonathan Teper has reached a settlement with the Israeli National Anti-Doping Agency in the ongoing doping case involving players from Ironi Tiberias. The agreement, submitted for approval to the Israeli Sports Doping Tribunal, confirms that Teper violated the agency's regulations. As part of the settlement, he will face a five-month suspension starting July 5, 2026. However, with continued full cooperation under the agreed terms, two months of the suspension will be deducted, resulting in an effective three-month ban. This mirrors the arrangements made with fellow Ironi Tiberias players Guy Hadida, David Kaltins, and Niv Gottlieb, who will all be eligible to return to play by early October.
The only remaining player yet to reach a settlement is Sambinia, currently in Portugal. His attorney, based in Israel, is actively negotiating with the agency, with a resolution expected soon. This development follows a recent settlement with three other Ironi Tiberias players, signaling progress in resolving the doping allegations within the team.
