Tiberias Players Await Resolution After Temporary Suspension Over Doping Allegations

Five weeks after their temporary suspension by the Israeli Sports Anti-Doping Agency, Tiberias players Guy Hadida, Niv Gottlieb, David Kaltins, Sambinia, and Yonatan Tapar are still awaiting developments regarding their cases. The players have consulted with attorney Nir Kakon to discuss the ongoing process with the anti-doping committee and the possibility of plea agreements. Unlike six staff members and club officials who face the brunt of the accusations and have already been formally charged, the club remains optimistic that the players can reach plea deals resulting in proportionate suspensions. Once their penalties are finalized, the players will be eligible to return to the team, from which they have been absent all summer. Tiberias is set to begin the new season in 10 days against Hapoel Petah Tikva, starting with a six-point deduction carried over from the previous season.
