Man from Bat Yam Indicted for Raping Mentally Disabled Young Woman in Hotel
The Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against Rafael Sherga, 51, from Bat Yam, accusing him of raping a mentally disabled 19-year-old woman under aggravated circumstances. The alleged crimes occurred about two weeks ago in a hotel in Bat Yam. According to the indictment, Sherga met the woman at an Aroma coffee shop in the city and persuaded her to accompany him by promising a massage. During the car ride, he raped her and committed additional indecent acts. Upon arriving at the hotel where he had booked a room, Sherga raped her again. The charges include aggravated rape without consent and exploitation of the victim's intellectual disability.
