Lod: Driver Arrested with 10 Undocumented Residents in Trunk
Last night, between Tuesday and Wednesday, during an operational activity by Central Border Police officers in the Lod area, the officers spotted a vehicle that aroused their suspicion. A check in police systems showed that the vehicle was not authorized to be driven on the road. As a result, the officers stopped the vehicle for inspection. During the inspection, the driver claimed that he had arrived in the area after visiting the graves of righteous men in northern Israel. In a thorough search carried out by Central Border Police officers יחד with Central District police officers, 10 undocumented residents were found inside the vehicle, hidden in the trunk. The suspect, a 39-year-old resident of Kiryat Gat, was arrested and taken for further investigation at the Lod station of the Central District. The undocumented residents and the seized vehicle were also transferred for further police handling and investigation.
