IDF Kills Four Senior Hamas Nukhba Commanders in Targeted Airstrike in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a precise airstrike in the Shati area of the Gaza Strip, eliminating four senior commanders of Hamas's elite Nukhba unit, including the commander of the Nukhba platoon and three company commanders from the Beit Lahia battalion. These militants were directly involved in planning and executing terror attacks against Israeli security forces. One of the commanders, Samir Harb Abu Jabal, had infiltrated Israeli territory during the deadly attacks on October 7. The other three killed were Muhammad Hamdi Ahmad Al-Masri, Muhammad Attar, and Muhammad Fathi Hassin Nasser, all of whom played key roles in orchestrating and carrying out terror operations targeting IDF soldiers.
The IDF stated that the activity of these four commanders posed an immediate and direct threat to Israeli forces on the ground, prompting the decision to neutralize them from the air to eliminate the danger. Additionally, the IDF sealed two Hamas terror tunnels in the Gaza Strip as part of ongoing security efforts. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and will continue to act decisively with all available means to remove any immediate threats to Israeli troops.
