Israeli Football Player Omer Dahan Suspended for 60 Days Amid Illegal Gambling Investigation

Omer Dahan, a player for Maccabi Haifa, has been suspended for 60 days from all football activities by the Israeli Football Association's disciplinary court due to serious suspicions related to illegal gambling and match-fixing. The decision, announced on August 19, 2026, follows nearly two months since Dahan revealed he was at the center of an illegal betting scandal. At the time of the alleged incidents, Dahan was on loan to Hapoel Ra'anana.
