Sephora Collection Beauty Products Launch in Israel With Significant Price Gaps
Israeli beauty retailer Glam42 will begin selling Sephora Collection products in Israel starting August 20, under a temporary sales agreement with Sephora. This marks the first time Sephora Collection cosmetics are officially available in the Israeli market. However, a price comparison by Channel 12 News reveals that many products will be sold in Israel at substantially higher prices than in Sephora stores worldwide.
For example, the Best Skin Ever foundation retails for 72 shekels on Sephora's UK website but will cost 88 shekels in Israel, a 22% increase. The Multi Use Blush is priced 16% higher in Israel (65 shekels) compared to the UK price (56 shekels). Lip gloss and lip plumper products show a 33% price gap, with Israeli prices at 60 shekels versus 45 shekels in the US. The Soft Matte & Easy liquid lipstick is 11% more expensive in Israel than in Australia. The only exception is the Get (Un)Ready makeup set, which is sold 14% cheaper in Israel (140 shekels) than in the UAE (163 shekels).
Glam42 emphasizes that all Sephora Collection products sold are original and sourced directly from Sephora in France, not outlet or surplus stock. Sephora confirmed the temporary sales agreement with Glam42 but stated it has no plans to open physical stores in Israel. Glam42 operates independently in Israel, specializing in importing and retailing international beauty brands through physical stores and an online platform. The company indicated that the Sephora Collection product range may expand in the future depending on Sephora's decisions.
This launch provides Israeli consumers with official access to Sephora Collection products, though at a premium compared to international prices. The products will be available in Glam42 stores and pop-up stands in Azrieli malls across Israel.
