Iranian Agency Publishes 14-Point Draft of U.S.-Iran Deal
Iranian news agency Mehr has published an unofficial draft of a 14-point memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. The text outlines a broad package that would begin with an immediate halt to fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon, and a full lifting of the maritime blockade within 30 days.
The draft also calls for suspending sanctions on oil sales and restoring access to financial resources. It says the United States would launch a $300 billion reconstruction plan, while $24 billion in frozen funds would be released during 60 days of negotiations.
According to the report, Iran would also commit to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The issue of Iran's missile program and its support for resistance groups has been removed from the agenda entirely, suggesting those topics would no longer be part of the talks.
