Serbian Talent Kosta Nedelković Joins Rangers on Loan After Breakthrough Under Barak Bachar

Kosta Nedelković, a 20-year-old Serbian right-back, is set to join Scottish giants Rangers on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, with a mandatory purchase clause of £4 million contingent on his appearances. Rangers, struggling to emerge from Celtic's shadow and frequently changing managers, view Nedelković as a key part of their rebuilding efforts. The young defender's rise began under Israeli coach Barak Bachar, who promoted him to the senior team at Red Star Belgrade, Serbia's champion club. Nedelković made his debut under Bachar and was trusted in various right-side roles, quickly becoming one of Eastern Europe's top prospects despite not being initially highlighted as a future star at Red Star.

Nedelković has openly credited Bachar for his development, stating that the Israeli coach gave him confidence and trust, helping him fulfill his childhood dream by playing in the Champions League and domestic cups. He joined Aston Villa from Red Star Belgrade in January 2024 but struggled to secure a regular spot in the Premier League side.
