Maccabi Tel Aviv's Roy Revivo Open to Staying Until Contract Ends in 2027

Roy Revivo, the left-back for Maccabi Tel Aviv, remains with the club despite interest from Malcha and participated in the recent match against CSKA Sofia. Sports journalist Nir Klinger revealed insights about Revivo's situation following a conversation with his father, former Israeli national team player Haim Revivo. According to Haim, there is a possibility that Roy will stay at Maccabi Tel Aviv until his contract expires in summer 2027 and then leave as a free agent.

Roy Revivo extended his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv until 2027, with an option for the club to extend further. However, Klinger clarified that Roy does not intend to renew the contract beyond that point. When asked if Roy had received any upgraded contract offers, Haim Revivo responded half-jokingly that they only consider written offers, referencing the interest from Malcha. He added that if Maccabi Tel Aviv wants to improve Roy's terms, they should present a formal offer.

Regarding a potential salary upgrade without extending the contract, Haim stated that Roy does not need to sign a new contract to receive better pay. Instead, the club could offer a two-year improved deal, which would prevent Roy from seeking transfers continuously. Haim expressed confidence that if Maccabi Tel Aviv wants to double Roy's salary, they would provide an offer covering those two years.
