Two Children Stabbed by Neighbor in Beit Shemesh; One Dies, Suspect Arrested
A stabbing attack occurred on Monday in Beit Shemesh, where two children were assaulted in their home by a neighbor. The suspect, who lives nearby, has a history of drug use but is not currently known to have any diagnosed mental health disorders. After the attack, the children attempted to flee inside the house to seek help, where the father of one child and a 16-year-old boy were present. Emergency teams arrived to find a 7-year-old boy in critical condition; despite resuscitation efforts, he later died in the hospital and was identified as Hillel Mordechai Dadon. His 4-year-old cousin was also seriously injured but remains in stable condition. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect near the scene holding the weapon and attempting to clean it of blood. The suspect was arrested meters from the location. Contrary to earlier reports, the children were not found in a pool but inside the house. The investigation is being conducted by the Jerusalem District Police. The victims are cousins, not siblings as initially reported.
