Rabid Dog Found in Givat Ze'ev Prompts Urgent Health Warnings
The Israeli Ministry of Health has reported the discovery of a dog infected with rabies in Givat Ze'ev, near the Eilot Basin neighborhood. Following this, four individuals who had contact with the dog have been directed to receive preventive rabies vaccinations. The Ministry urges anyone who had contact with animals in the area between August 5 and 17 to urgently contact the Jerusalem Health Office at 02-5314820 or visit an emergency room. Parents are advised to check with their children about any animal contact in the region, and pet owners are encouraged to consult with their local veterinary authority.
