President Herzog Meets Kushner and Mladenov to Discuss Next Steps for Gaza Security

On Monday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with Jared Kushner, the White House envoy, and Nikolay Mladenov, head of the UN Peacebuilding Support Office, at the President's Residence in Jerusalem. The discussions focused on advancing the next phases in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of ensuring Israel's security and promoting stability and a better future for all peoples in the region. Herzog expressed his appreciation for the efforts led by President Trump, Kushner, and Mladenov, highlighting the 20-point plan proposed by Trump as a foundation for progress. He stressed that Israel's security interests remain a central component of the plan and encouraged continued efforts toward a positive future for the next generation.

Earlier the same day, Kushner also met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for an extensive discussion. Following their meeting, a political source revealed that an agreement was reached stipulating that no reconstruction efforts in Gaza would proceed without the complete disarmament of Hamas. Kushner committed to advocating this position with Netanyahu, underscoring the security prerequisites tied to any rebuilding initiatives in the Gaza Strip.
