Nikola Mirotic Remains Without a Team as EuroLeague Rosters Finalize

As EuroLeague teams complete their rosters for the upcoming season, one of the most notable players left unsigned is 35-year-old forward Nikola Mirotic. He was expected to play for AS Monaco, but the club's financial difficulties have made it impossible to meet his salary demands, effectively making him a free agent. Last season, Mirotic averaged 11 points per game with a 39.3% three-point shooting percentage and 4.3 rebounds, attracting interest from several EuroLeague and ambitious EuroCup teams. However, no concrete offers have materialized so far, partly due to his salary expectations, which also likely prevent a return to Barcelona.

Mirotic struggled with a heel spur injury toward the end of last season, which significantly affected his performance during the French league playoffs. He opted against surgery, a decision that has deterred some teams from signing him. Despite this, he remains keen to continue playing in the EuroLeague and has declined offers from teams like Bahcesehir and Malaga. Hapoel Tel Aviv showed interest in Mirotic during the 2024/25 season, but his performance declined sharply afterward. Currently, Hapoel Tel Aviv's forward position is filled for the next season, having signed Zack LeDay last summer.
