Young Man Arrested for Vandalizing St. Anthony's Church in Jaffa
A man in his twenties from Jaffa was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of vandalizing St. Anthony's Church on Yefet Street in the city. The police investigation began Sunday morning after a report was received about damage to the church. Officers from the Jaffa police station and forensic teams arrived at the scene, conducting searches for the suspect and collecting evidence. Inside the church, police found several statues knocked down and broken into pieces, as well as broken crosses scattered on chairs and the floor. Within 24 hours, authorities identified and apprehended the suspect, who was taken in for questioning.
