Miri Regev’s Daughter Michal Gets Engaged Three Years After Surviving the Nova Party Attack

Michal, the daughter of Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev, got engaged to her partner three years after surviving the deadly attack at the Nova music festival. The engagement was announced on Saturday with a photo shared by Michal showing her happily displaying the engagement ring against a sunset backdrop.

On the morning of October 7, 2023, Michal was at the Nova party when gunfire erupted. The vehicle she was in was shot at during their escape, but she and a friend managed to flee and reach Beersheba safely. Regev previously revealed that she was aware her daughter was attending a party in the south but did not realize it was the dangerous event that became the site of the massacre.

During the attack, Michal called her mother in a panicked state saying, "Mom, they shot at me but I’m okay," but was unable to provide details. Another survivor who was with her took the phone and reassured Regev that Michal was safe in Beersheba. There were later claims that Michal had been evacuated early from the scene, but Regev denied these, stating her daughter escaped on her own around 6:27 a.m. and that the family had no prior knowledge of the attack.

The engagement marks a hopeful milestone for Michal and her family following the traumatic events of the attack three years ago.
